AltPlus Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) recognizes that the personal information (as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information) provided by users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) in connection with the application “Everybody Shogi” (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”) is a particularly important asset. The Company has established this Privacy Policy to appropriately collect, use, disclose, and protect such information.

1. Collection, Use, and Provision of Personal Information

When collecting personal information, the Company will specify the purpose of use and will use the personal information only within the scope of the specified purposes.

(1) Purposes of Use

Personal information collected and managed by the Company will be used for the following purposes:

• To provide and improve the Service
• To provide information about campaigns related to the Service
• To respond to inquiries from Users
• To create statistical data regarding the use of the Service and other related matters

(2) Provision to Third Parties

The Company will not provide or disclose personal information to third parties without the prior consent of Users, except in the following cases:

• When required by law
• When it is necessary for the protection of a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the User’s consent
• When it is especially necessary for the improvement of public health or the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the User’s consent
• When it is necessary to cooperate with government agencies, local governments, or public institutions (including those entrusted by them) in executing duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the User’s consent may impede the execution of such duties
• When the information is provided to the Company’s contractors within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use

2. Prevention and Correction of Unauthorized Access to Personal Information

The Company will take necessary and appropriate management measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, or leakage of personal information, and to ensure the secure management of such information.

3. Compliance with Laws and Regulations Regarding Personal Information

The Company will comply with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other applicable laws and regulations.

4. Changes to this Privacy Policy

The Company may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest revision date will be indicated at the bottom of this page. Changes to the Privacy Policy shall take effect when posted within the Company’s services. If a User continues to use the Company’s services after such changes, the User will be deemed to have agreed to the revised Privacy Policy.

5. Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion of Personal Information

If a User requests disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of provision to third parties of their personal information held by the Company, the Company will respond promptly after verifying the identity of the requester. However, please note that during the processing of such requests and after the completion of such procedures, the User may no longer be able to use the Service.

To request disclosure, etc., the User must fill out the designated request form, enclose identification documents, and mail them to the address specified by the Company. A handling fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for notifications of the purpose of use and disclosures of personal information or records of provision to third parties. Please transfer the fee to the bank account specified in the request form. This fee also applies in cases of non-disclosure or non-notification of the purpose of use.
